Standards
Wisconsin Guiding Principles for Teaching and Learning
The guiding principles inform and design the implementation of the academic standards, inform what happens in the classroom, remind us of our own expectations for students, and focus the vision of each child as a graduate ready for college, career, and life.
The Guiding Principles:

Academic Standards
Education standards provide consistency and continuity to help ensure that content builds from one grade level to the next. They provide the foundation for student learning. The School District of Horicon has adopted the Wisconsin State Standards as the standards for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Career and Technical Education, Health and Nutrition Education, Health Science, Music Education, and World Languages. Additionally, we have adopted the Essential Elements for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.
Depending on the student's needs, the standard may be expanded to deliver the rigor that is appropriate. You may view the standards, by clicking on the following standards.
