Horicon High School takes pride in our athletics and other co-curricular activities. Horicon belongs to the Trailways Conference for most sports, and to the Eastern Suburban Conference for the Horicon/Hustisford co-op football program. The Trailways Conference, the largest conference in Wisconsin, provides numerous opportunities for athletics, but also for academic activities, including competitions such as a forensics meet, a math meet, and an academic bowl. It also provides opportunities in music: Solo & Ensemble, Honors Band, and Honors Choir.
Our WIAA-recognized high school sports are: FALL -- boys and girls cross country, football, girls volleyball; WINTER -- boys and girls basketball, boys and girls hockey, boys and girls wrestling; SPRING -- baseball, boys and girls golf, softball, boys and girls track & field. We also offer club sports: bowling, ice fishing, and trap shooting.
Our other clubs, organizations, and activities are: Art Club, FBLA, FFA, FCCLA, Forensics, Jazz Band, Mock Trial, Musical, NHS, Play, Science Olympiad, and Student Council.
Horicon Middle School also provides numerous sports and activities: Cross Country, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Track & Field, FFA, Forensics, Musical, Play, and PBIS Student Committee.
Facilities
Thanks to the fantastic pride and amazing generosity from our community, Horicon boasts some of the best athletics facilities in the area. The award-winning Sword Field/Horicon Athletic Complex provides a beautiful setting for football games in the fall and track meets in the spring, as well as training facilities for physical education and other sports almost year-round.
When we built Horicon Elementary School to connect to Horicon MS/HS, we included a second full-size gym allowing us to host varsity events in either of our onsite gyms.
We use the NFHS Network to live-stream events in both gyms and at Sword Field.
Horicon Character
Marshmen and Marshladies sports and activities encourage students to develop into well-rounded citizens who understand and live important ideals such as teamwork, fair play, integrity, empathy, and commitment. The student-led Marshmanship Project endorses great sportsmanship by our athletes and fans, and provides snacks and positive messages to the officials who work our events.
