Welcome to the 2024-25 school year and thank you for visiting our website at Horicon Schools. It is an honor and privilege to serve the students and families of Horicon. I am proud to be part of a dedicated, caring, and passionate staff who create daily opportunities for our students both in and out of the classroom. At Horicon, we strive to help students discover and share their gifts, focusing on teaching the whole child so that they grow and find their passion for learning.
Our school district is driven by a deep desire for continuous improvement. Together, we will build upon our rich traditions and uphold the values that define us as Marshmen Pride. Our staff genuinely care for the students who enter our buildings, making a significant difference and contributing to the School District of Horicon which is recognized as a TOP 100 workplace in Southeast Wisconsin! Everyone has a place at Horicon, and we strive to follow our mission every day.
Educate. Engage. Empower. Every Day.
We are always looking for ways to better connect with our families and community. We offer community walking hours, functions in our new commons area, and a weight room/workout room for community use. Please join us for our quarterly community coffees and programs at our school to better connect with our families. Information about these events can be found on the district calendar, or you can contact the district office.
If you are new to the district or considering moving to our community, please call and request a meeting and tour to learn more about us. One of our administrative team members or I would be glad to meet with you and show you around our schools.
I am honored and humbled to be the Superintendent of the School District of Horicon. I pledge that our district will continue to work with our families, students, and community to make the best decisions in support of teaching and reaching our children.
As always, if I can be of assistance, please feel free to contact me at rappel@horicon.k12.wi.us or 920-485-2898 option 5. #HoriconStrong - STRONGER TOGETHER
It's great to be a Marshmen!

Professional Vision
"Successful is the person who has lived well, laughed often and loved much, who has gained the respect of children, who leaves the world better than they found it, who has never lacked appreciation for the earth's beauty, who never fails to look for the best in others or give the best of themselves."
